Had a great meal in Bob Bob, didn't push the champagne button but was glad it was available. Nice booth seating and attentive staff. Expensive overall but felt like a great experience. Chicken Kyiv was the best.

We eat here regularly and it never disappoints. The Chateaubriand is exceptional and the truffle mash to die for. Also you won’t find better priced wines anywhere in London. The staff are really polite and professional and know their stuff. Highly recommend.

A lovely experience. Reservations require $100 per person hold on credit card, but you pay the difference after the bill arrives. As long as you understand that prior, it is a great place to have an intimate upscale dining experience.

I went with my wife and her family to celebrate her 30th. Whilst the food was good, and the service mostly decent we were pretty disappointed with our visit. I'd baked a cake to give to my wife and asked the waitress if she would mind arranging it after the meal. We were originally told this was fine but we wouldn't be able to use our own candles because they hadn't been tested - fair enough. I was also told there would be a charge to cut it up - so I said not to worry about doing this and just to bring the cake to the table please. Half way through the meal she came to tell me that actually they wouldn't even be able to bring the cake to the table and that it had been checked into the cloak room. I couldn't really understand why this would be such an issue - I have never before encountered this issue at a restaurant where I've brought a home made cake to sing to someone. Sadly I wouldn't bother going back as this left a bad taste in my mouth. The restaurant is very overpriced for this level of service.

Had the pleasure of eating in the private dining room. BBR was a stunning setting, felt very art deco and reminiscent of a more glamorous age. Food was lovely.

Gastronomic Review: A Lacklustre Experience in a Contrasting Setting The promise of a memorable culinary evening is built not only on the foundations of quality ingredients and skilled cooking but also on hospitality, attention to detail, and ambiance. Unfortunately, during our recent visit to this establishment, the soul of the restaurant seemed to have been lost somewhere between the reception and dessert. Reception and Service: A Missed Opportunity First impressions set the tone for the entire dining experience, and here, we encountered an unfortunate discord. While the doorman stood out for his kindness and professionalism, the Front Desk lacked warmth and engagement. A mere, emotionless phrase—"Hello, do you have a reservation?"—established an unnecessary distance between the restaurant and its guests. Adding to this, we experienced a 15-minute wait for our table. Under normal circumstances, this might have been acceptable, but the table placement in a low-ceilinged basement with excessively loud music turned what should have been a dinner into a claustrophobic, nightclub-like ordeal. Service in the dining room was disorganised and rushed, revealing a concerning lack of coordination and training. While the waiters had a polished appearance, they lacked professional finesse, operating in a hurried yet inefficient manner. The bar staff, on the other hand, stood out for their skill and attentiveness, offering a glimpse of the level of service the entire restaurant should aspire to. Table Setting and Attention to Detail: Mixed Signals The table setting sent conflicting messages. A paper tablecloth felt out of place in a restaurant with high-end aspirations, while cloth napkins embroidered with the establishment's name and logo attempted to inject a sense of refinement. The crockery and cutlery were adequate, yet a glaring oversight was the lack of bread and butter, despite the presence of a dedicated plate and knife. This inconsistency suggested either an operational lapse or a failure in attention to detail. The Culinary Proposal: High-Quality Ingredients, But Lacking Finesse The menu leans towards simple cuisine with high ambitions, underpinned by high-quality ingredients. The meat selection was outstanding (10/10), achieving an excellent balance of texture, ageing, and cooking precision. The fish (8/10), while well-sourced, could benefit from greater finesse in execution to elevate the final result. Desserts were a highlight, earning a 9/10, displaying more creativity and technical prowess than other courses. In the beverage selection, the champagne and wine list (8/10) was well-curated, though without any truly exceptional surprises. However, service times were slow, detracting from the overall experience. A more efficient kitchen-to-table coordination and a smoother service pace would significantly enhance the dining flow. Conclusion: A Restaurant Without a Soul Despite the notable quality of the ingredients, the overall experience was overshadowed by the restaurant’s lack of soul. From the impersonal reception at the Front Desk to the disorganised dining service, the lasting impression was of a venue with aspirations but lacking the meticulous execution required to turn a meal into a truly remarkable experience. At a £460 bill for four diners, the level of service and atmosphere should match the quality of the kitchen. However, poor coordination, undertrained staff, and an uninviting environment diminished the value of what could have been a stellar dining experience. Recommendations: Retrain the dining staff to ensure greater professionalism and efficiency. Improve the Front Desk reception by fostering a warmer and more welcoming approach. Rethink the space layout to create a setting that aligns better with the restaurant’s gastronomic vision. Reduce service times to enhance the dining flow and guest satisfaction. For now, this restaurant remains a place with potential, but without the soul or execution to justify its price tag and reputation.

We have been to this place many times on numerous occasions but I must admit this time was a bit of a disappointment. The service was friendly but very slow , had to press a ‘famous’ champagne button twice, no one appeared, so just ordered with some waiter who was passing by. Nothing major but it’s a part of the experience you’re looking forward to and they definitely failed to deliver it this time. They took this glass champagne off the bill at the end, there was no need to, but a nice gesture. Beef tartare was delicious, Seafood in the fish pie was quite dry or maybe overcooked. The waiter had his fingers touching the pancakes on the plate while serving the plate with caviar. The girls at the reception wouldn’t take their eyes off the computer to say goodbye to you, no one to help you with the doors , neither on the way in nor out… still a lovely place but first time ever didn’t wow us and left a bit of a feeling of disappointment overall.
